Gourdlets Announce Release Date

In this sandbox game, you’ll build towns for cute vegetable folks. Gourdlets is a sandbox city builder, with a cute veggie theme, and it’s just announced its release date. With no objects, points or goals, you’ll build the perfect town for your vegetable friends, and there’s even an idle mode, so you can hang with your Gourdlets at the bottom of your screen while you get some work done. This cute game is dropping as part of the Wholesome Games Celebration on August 15th. Check it out on Steam here.

Enshrouded Launch New Back to the Shroud Update

Enshrouded have launched their third major early access update, and this one opens up the gameplay options even more. This open world survival crafter where you take on the Shroud and explore a pretty unique and stunning world, has added a bunch of new difficulty and gameplay settings. You’ll be able to customise your game experience even more with different difficulty settings making the gameplay easier so you can focus on base building, or harder if you like a more aggressive challenge, and they’ve also added in a Survival setting, which adds in some survival mechanics like hunger, and losing your inventory when you die. This update will definitely give a lot more options as to how you play the game, and it’s live now. Check it out here

Paper Perjury Announce Release Date

Paper Perjury, the detective mystery game where you play as a police clerk uncovering the truth behind a series of suspicious crimes, has announced its release date. In this adventurous visual novel, you’ll investigate crime scenes, interrogate suspects, and uncover the truth in what look set to be a great addition to the detective scene. We’ve still got a little bit longer to wait for this one, but definitely add it to your wishlist because Paper Perjury is launching October 4th. Wishlist the game here

Vicscreen Announce Round Two Projects of the Originate Games Program

Vicscreen have announced the projects they’ll be supporting as part of their Originate Games program. The second round of this program, which provides mentoring and professional support for the participants, has added six new projects to the program, with some really interesting games in the mix.

The projects include:

  • Brine Pool – a 3D narrative based game set in a distorted reality of Melbourne
  • Port Eira – a mystery game where you investigate an impossible murder and solve unresolved mysteries from the past
  • Project Dairy Cat – a deckbuilding, tile-based tactics game where you play as space pirates commit super speedy heists.
  • Project Nirvana (working title) – a souls-like game about a warrior caught in a endless cycle of rebirth inspired by Buddhsim.
  • Reaprieve – A 3d adventure game where you work a simple office job reaping soul’s desires
  • And an unannounced title developed by Weird Flex, a community development studio

We can’t wait to see what comes out of these programs, and will be eagerly awaiting updates for these projects.

A New Way to Experience Valheim

Valheim lovers this one is for you. A new Valheim flavoured project is in the works, Valheim: the board game. New info has just dropped on the tabletop version of the popular open world survival crafter game, with the creators detailing that the gameplay will be a co-op survival adventure game where you goal is to banish the evil from Valheim. You’ll choose one of four different warriors which will have health, stamina, gear and consumables, and the game will feature territories to explore, and forsaken to fight against. This game is already looking amazing, so definitely make sure to give it a follow to keep up with the development! Find out more here

Corekeeper 1.0 Has Been Delayed

Core Keeper’s release for some consoles has unfortunately been delayed. In a statement they’ve indicated that there will be delays for Xbox One, PS4 and Switch, due to wanting to ensure the game is the best possible experience at launch. Corekeeper 1.0 will still release as scheduled digitally for PC, Xbox series X/S and PlayStation 5 on August 27th, with the other console releases being delayed until September 17th. Minami Lane is Coming on Switch

Minami Lane is coming to Switch, and there’s not much longer to wait. This adorable mini city builder with a Japanese theme, where you build up cozy neighbourhoods, serve up ramen, and pat kitties, is finally making it’s way to Switch, and there’s not much longer to wait, because it’s dropping on August 15th. Sticky Business Announce New DLC

Sticky Business is about to get even cuter, with the devs announcing a new DLC. The new DLC for this sticker business sim, where you design, print, cut, and pack stickers for your customers, takes on a nature and camp theme. There’s 10 new interconnected customer stories to uncover, more glitter paper, and a range of cute nature and camp themed stickers to create, in what looks set to be a cute new addition to the game. Selfloss Announce Release Date

In this emotional exploration game, you’ll embark on a journey as a healer with a magical staff fighting off a mysterious affliction taking over the world. Set in a Slavic-inspired, whale-worshiping world, you’ll make an epic journey via boat, using your staff to heal the wounds of those who have lost loved ones. This looks set to be an amazing action adventure game, with a dark twist, and it’s just announced it’s release date. You can play Selfloss from September 13th. Wishlist it here

Prison Architect 2 Has Been Delayed (Again)

The second addition to the Prison Architect series has yet again been delayed. Originally scheduled for a May release, the game was delayed until September, but the devs have just announced the game will be delayed again, with no set release date yet. The delay comes after internal reviews and beta testing have highlighted some performance and content issues, and so more time is needed to get the game to a release quality state. This is disappointing news, but fingers crossed we’ll still see the game drop in 2024. Find out more here.

ODDADA Announces Release Date

In this game, you’ll create music out of gadgets, gizmos and funky melodic toys. ODDADA is a tactile music maker where you get to experiment and create your own music tracks. You can build up your track layer by layer, adding new harmonies and melodies as you go, and there’s a whole range of different tools, and instruments to unlock as you play. This cozy, music game has just announced it’s release date, you can play ODDADA from August 15th. Wishlist it here

Green Hell is Getting It’s Much Awaited Current-Gen Console Launch

The hardcore survival game set in the treacherous Amazon jungle, Green Hell, is getting it’s current-gen console launch. Originally releasing back in 2019, it’s been a long wait for next gen console users, but we finally have a date in sight for the release, and you’ll be happy to know it comes with the latest updates too that have previously only be available to PC playeres. Unfortunately there won’t be cross play compatibility between different gen versions, and the devs will be ceasing updates for previous gen consoles too for performance and quality reasons. They will be offering free upgrades to current gen consoles though, but saves will not be able to transfer across. The console launch will be dropping August 14th. Read more here

Feed the Deep Announce Release Date

This roguelite exploration game where you dive into underwater caves to collect gold, while surviving what awaits you in the depths of the sea, has just announced it’s release date. Feed the Deep is a lovecraftian game, where you’ll explore the deep blue, managing dark spaces, limited oxygen and hostile wildlife as you go. There’s not much longer to wait for this one, you can dive in to Feed the Deep August 16th. Wishlist it here
