After a short stint in classification limbo, one of the year’s grittiest indie hits is officially back on sale in Australia. Schedule I has returned to Steam, completely uncut and unchanged.
Set in the fictional Australian city of Hyland Point, Schedule I drops you into the role of a small-time drug dealer trying to climb the ranks. You cook product, sell to customers, avoid the cops, and slowly build a criminal empire. It’s a gritty mix of business sim and survival, with lo-fi visuals and a sharp focus on risk-versus-reward.
The game was removed from Steam for Australian players earlier this year when it was discovered that it hadn’t been submitted to the Australian Classification Board. Developer Tyler, who built the game solo under the name TVGS, had assumed the rule only applied to physical or console releases. Once he found out, he moved quickly to get it classified.
Now it’s back, with an official PG rating and no content cut. If you like your indie games a little rough around the edges, with a strong creative vision and a chaotic edge, this is one to keep an eye on.
