Early Access worlds won't be supported in 1.0

One of the most notable changes in 1.0 is the introduction of new worlds. Early Access worlds will transition into “classic worlds,” preserving their state but preventing them from receiving future updates. To fully experience the new features and content, starting a fresh world is highly recommended.

Two New Combat Styles

For those seeking new gameplay experiences, Core Keeper introduces two exciting new combat styles: Mage and Warlock. Mages specialize in staff-based combat, utilizing powerful spells and enchantments. Warlocks, on the other hand, harness ancient tomes to summon and control minions, adding a strategic element to their gameplay.

Launching on consoles (and game pass)

The exciting news for console players is that they finally can get in on the Core Keeper goodness, with the game launching on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Switch, PS4 and Xbox One players will have to wait a little longer to jump in, with that release being pushed back to September, along with the physical edition too.

If you’re on a budget you’ll be happy to know that Core Keeper is joining the Game Pass line up, so game pass holders on both PC and Xbox will get access to the game there.

Main Story Arc is complete

The 1.0 update will see a conclusion to the main story arc, finally giving us an end to the epic story, and finally uncovering the reason you were teleported to the world in the first place.

This won’t limit the gameplay, as it still is essentially a sandbox game with endless possibilities, but will provide some closure to the mysteries of the game.

New world generation system

The world generation system has been improved in this update, adding more variety and world seed functionality.

Settings have been added to change ore density, water generation, and allow you to bring some chaos to the way biomes spawn

PvP system is being introduced

Core Keeper 1.0 introduces a highly anticipated PvP mode, allowing players to battle each other for dominance of the underground. Whether you prefer solo play or teaming up with friends, the PvP mode offers a competitive and challenging experience.

New endgame biome - The Passage

A new eerie endgame biome called The Passage has been introduced to the game.
Set deep underground, the biome will hold threats around each corner, and a new resource called Pandorium.
This is teased to be a very unforgiving biome, but is sure to be a good endgame challenge.

3 New Bosses

Core Keeper 1.0 introduces three fearsome new bosses: Druidra, Cryodra, and Prydra, the hydras of nature, ice, and lava. These bosses will require players to use their skills and new advanced equipment to defeat them.

Waypoints added to the Underground

Waypoints are being added to the game to make exploration a little more easy during the early game when you don’t have an established network of portals.

The waypoints occur naturally in the underground and also act as teleportation stations, so add a cool fast travel system for the underground

Two new pets being introduced

Two new cuddly companions are being added to the already adorable line up of pets

You can choose to befriend the Pheromoth and Snugglygrade, and there’s also a new breed of cattle being added: the Dodo.

There’s still more content to come!

This is just a glimpse of the massive 1.0 update. Core Keeper’s developers have committed to continued support, with plans for even more content and updates in the future.

With its exciting new features and improved gameplay, Core Keeper 1.0 is a major milestone for the game. Whether you’re a long-time player or new to the series, this update offers something for everyone.

This really is a massive update to the game, and it’s out right now so you can check out all of these features right now on Steam, Xbox X/S via game pass, and PS5, check it out here on Steam
